Because New Year’s Eve Parties are usually lame.

on .

New Year’s Eve rarely lives up to the hype.

You plan to have this perfect night and more often than not it’s pretty lacklustre. So while you are looking around for the New Year’s parties that are ‘the place to be’ consider this:

There is a 5-day New Year’s party along the coast, that not only gives you a place to rest your head, full catering to kick the hangover, but also waterfalls, canoes and the craziest views this side of the African sun.  All this, and you don’t have your ticket.

So this 5-day Jol is taking place at Mtentu Lodge. Mtentu is a holiday destination situated along SA’s Wild Coast that hosts untouched beaches, waterfalls and a game reserve next door. The moment you step foot onto the lodge you’ll truly feel like we’ve cut out a piece of paradise and put it in the middle of nowhere with waterfalls and booze, solely for your enjoyment.

We pride ourselves on being one of the best getaway spots in the country, so upon planning our New Year’s party we asked ourselves “Why are New Year’s Eve parties only 1 day?” thus the 5-day New Year’s Jol idea was born, ingenious really, but please, hold your applause till the end.

Everything kicks off on the 28th of December with a welcoming and arrival party to make your liver feel right at home. From there on out we have day & night events taking place.

On the 29th:

  • Day – Pondo Amazing Race
  • Night – Eco Beach Party

The 30th:

  • Day – Mtentu Beach Olympics
  • Traditional Pondo Night

The 31st:

  • •    New Year’s Eve Bash

1st Jan:

  • Chilled Cocktail Day
  • Evening – Bonfire

In-between parties you have access to all the facilities, including the waterfalls and canoes.

There will be bar voucher giveaways on each night, good music and plenty of free shots.

So, now that you know what you are doing for New Year’s Eve, head over to our party page for details on pricing and accommodation.
