Our Facilities Include:

A Fully Stocked Bar

The Mtentu Lodge bar is the heart and soul of the lodge. It’s where experiences are shared and where new friends are made. There is a wide range of drinks ready to quench any thirst, from beer and ciders to cocktails and a selection of spirits. We aim to please – so let us know if you drink anything in particular and we will make sure to have all of your preferences in stock.

Boma and Entertainment Area

We have a large thatched, covered entertainment area and deck available to guests to unwind after an adventurous day. This is where we will share meals, trade stories and relax. Every night, you are invited to enjoy a communal bonfire where you will be able to sit back, listen to the waves crashing on the beaches below, watch countless stars as they make their way across the evening sky and perhaps hear the gentle strumming of a guitar. There are communal plug points in the boma where guests can charge their phones/cameras off of our solar power system.

* Please note: Only drinks/alcohol purchased from the bar will be allowed in the boma/entertainment area.

Clean, Environmentally Friendly Ablution Facilities

Yes – we have hot water! The ablutions at Mtentu Lodge are communal.

We have four gas showers, two of which overlook the beautiful tropical bush the Wild Coast is famous for. We also have two solar showers overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean, which is an experience in itself!

Our toilets operate on a septic tank system and are clean and comfortable.

We are an hour and a half away from the nearest shops and therefore may not always have everything in stock, but we do our best to accommodate your every need. If you have any specific requirements, please be sure to let us know in advance so we can make provision for this.
